GENERAL GUIDELINES:
No Set Theme
Eligibility: Anyone
We look for inspiring, creative prose—fiction or nonfiction—and photography that convey honest and individual perspectives. As always, we’re drawn to stories that capture our motto of “light within the dark.”
We work on one issue at a time and make our selections the months immediately following each deadline.
- EMAIL SUBMISSIONS ONLY, and all notifications are sent via email.
- NO FEE TO SUBMIT.
- SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS ALLOWED, but please notify us immediately if your piece is accepted elsewhere, in print and/or online.
- NO AI-generated material is accepted. If AI-based submissions are discovered, submission is disqualified and you will not be eligible to submit in the future.
- PAYMENT is one (1) complimentary copy of issue and a substantial discount on additional copies.
- INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING IN YOUR EMAIL:
- Publishing Name (as you want it to appear in moonShine review)
- Contact Name (if different from your pen name and please include your first name)
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- USPS Mailing Address
- Titles of Submissions (for prose)—exactly as you want them to appear in our publication
