2022 Pushcart Nominees

Moonshine Review Press adds Pushcart Prize Nominations in 2022

THE PUSHCART PRIZE

The Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses series, has received praise as the most honored literary project in America, including Highest Honors from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Published since 1976, hundreds of presses and thousands of writers of short stories, poetry, and essays have been represented in its annual collections.

NOMINATION PROCESS

As the executive editor of this small independent press, I can nominate a total of six pieces for the Pushcart Prize. When you consider that we received more than 700 short stories, essays, and poems this year, that number truly represents a select few.

Before deciding our Pushcart Nominees for 2022, I consulted with my editors and reviewed Kakalak 2022 and both the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter issues of moonShine review. My final selections this year coincide with the editors’ award choices for Kakalak 2022.
